About Me

Suzan Grovender: United States; I am a writer, who began studying French daily since June, 2010. By chance, I traveled to France the summer of 1984 while working on my M.B.A. degree. I learned to enjoy France's people, food, and culture as I studied European Business and Law at L'Université de Lyon III. I hope to tell sometimes amusing and sometimes poignant stories about learning to understand French language and culture. My upcoming book,"Detour through France", entwines my personal story with my uncle's story as told by his letters (1943-1944). The book follows him as he is inducted into the Army and trains for the Allied invasion of Normandy.
